Twice a month at our Giddings campus, a line of ladies sit and chat while waiting for their manicures. The residents love it, and it wouldn't be possible without these three wonderful women!
Kathy Rohel (left) has been volunteering for four years. She chooses to volunteer after retiring to donate her time. Her favorite part about volunteering is visiting the ladies and hearing about their lives and family. She loves seeing the residents' smiles when polishing their nails. They leave with a smile, and so does she!
Kelly Koehn (middle) has been volunteering for seven years. Her favorite thing about volunteering is meeting wonderful people, both employees and residents. She believes in living as a community and that we all have talents we can share. It is as simple as sharing a smile or an ear to listen. She loves hearing the life stories of the ladies who have their nails done and the happiness on their faces.
Kathy Sundquist (right) has been volunteering for a little over a year. She volunteers her time because it makes her heart feel good to see how the ladies enjoy getting their nails done. One of her favorite things about volunteering is knowing the ladies and Pine Haven are appreciative of her time and services.
Thank you, Kathy, Kelly, and Kathy, for all you do for the residents at Pine Haven and your commitment to the volunteer program!
Come celebrate this milestone with us on Thursday, September 4 from 4–7 PM. Enjoy live music, food, a raffle, a special proclamation from Mayor Randy Meyer, and stories from our past.
We express gratitude for the remarkable generosity shown to Pine Haven Christian Communities in 2024. From volunteers who have shared their time and talents to financial supporters who make our mission possible, every act of kindness strengthens our commitment to providing loving, Christ-centered care.
