Pine Haven's senior living communities now offer LifeLoop technology, a platform that enhances the lives of our residents, their families, and our staff. Through LifeLoop, we promote communication and engagement between family members, friends, residents, and Pine Haven staff. It gives families the transparency and access they deserve, allowing them to see their loved one's activity calendar, participation, and tagged pictures.
The LifeLoop platform is easy to navigate, promotes independence, and allows our team to share announcements and display digital signage directly from LifeLoop quickly. Our staff shares insights and additional context on residents' lives through a weekly email update and one-on-one messaging in the Connections Portal. In contrast, the resident portal allows residents to register for activities and submit work orders and transportation requests.
Using LifeLoop to engage residents and their family members can positively impact their lives, leading to increased social interaction and engagement. According to Denise Walter, our Life Enrichment Coordinator, "LifeLoop is a really great way for families to stay connected to their loved ones. It easily provides an inside look at what happens every day, no matter where they are, and adds another level of comfort, knowing their loved one is socially active on a regular basis."
With LifeLoop, family members can access activity calendars, see what their loved one has attended, and view pictures of them. It helps us keep families in the loop with all the fun we have each day. Even families who live far away can upload photos for their loved one to see. Knowing that their loved one is engaged, happy, and having fun adds another level of comfort for family members who choose Pine Haven. Martina Wessels, our Life Enrichment Manager, says, "The family portal sparks a genuine connection between family members and staff members and helps foster communication between residents and their families."
LifeLoop's features include providing person-centered content for all levels of care, allowing access to iN2L's content on any device with Internet access, and creating a holistic wellness program using content from the library. LifeLoop's simplistic design is easy to navigate and can be used on desktops, laptops, tablets, or mobile phones. The messaging platform makes communication between staff, family, and residents easy and efficient, with reminders to attend events and meals.
Families can share special moments with the LifeLoop family portal and mobile app, getting a real-time view of their loved one's day. They can also receive a weekly email with in-depth details on their loved one's engagement and efficiently make transportation and work requests from the portal or mobile app. Photo and video sharing through the LifeLoop portals and mobile app ensure that family members have a unique window into the daily lives of their loved ones.
Finally, we are proud to share that donations from our 2022 Annual Appeal were used to fund this new initiative.
