Pine Haven Christian Home
Adds Registered Nurse Case
Manager to Staff
Sheboygan
Falls, WI -- Linda Voight, RN, has
joined the staff of Pine Haven Christian Home in the position of RN Case
Manager. Voight’s addition continues an emphasis on better serving the needs
of Pine Haven residents.
In this newly created
position, Voight will provide a variety of services as well as assist
potential new residents and their families through the admission process.
She will review care plans for each resident on a regular basis for
medication compliance and changes in medical conditions. Twice annually
Voight will conduct an in-depth review of each resident’s plan to assess
dietary, activity, medical, psychological, and social needs.
“We recognize the trend that
individuals are staying in their home as long as possible,” says Voight.
“When they do move to an assisted living facility, their medical needs are
typically more involved than those making the move just a few years ago.
What makes my work at Pine Haven so rewarding is being a medical advocate
for our family of residents.”
Voight’s education and
experience make her a perfect fit for this position. She has been in the
medical field in the Sheboygan County area for the last thirty years. She
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of
Wisconsin - Oshkosh. She has
worked at St. Nicholas Hospital in the orthopedic and vascular areas,
Greendale Health Care Center as a nursing supervisor, St. Luke’s
Rehabilitation Unit within Memorial Hospital, the Visiting Nurse
Association, for neurologist Dr. Kunkel, and at Meadowview Nursing Home.
In addition to her new role
at Pine Haven, Voight also continues to coordinate the area’s multiple
sclerosis support group that meets monthly in the Visiting Nurse
Association’s Heritage
room.
Pine Haven Christian Home
was opened in 1950 and expanded in 1992 to the
current size of 71 residents
in the nursing home and 140 residents in the assisted living facility. While
supported by eighteen local churches, residents of all faiths and
backgrounds are welcome. Pine Haven’s mission is to provide quality,
compassionate care in a Christian environment.
