Jenkins Pine Haven Announces Plans for Oostburg Assisted Living Apartment Complex Sheboygan Falls, WI -- The board of directors of Pine Haven Christian Communities announced plans for a 24 apartment assisted living development on the west side of Oostburg. This news comes just one year after Pine Haven completed construction on Prairie Crossing, a 40 unit assisted living apartment facility in Sheboygan Falls. “For 58 years the people of the Oostburg area have been strong supporters of Pine Haven Christian Home. This new facility will allow us to preserve and deepen our relationship to the community,” said Jeff Jenkins, Administrator of Pine Haven. The Pine Haven development in Oostburg will provide individual apartments backed by supportive, personal and nursing services, offering a level of service a step above total independent living. Most people want to stay in their own homes as long as possible and near family and friends. This option allows residents to live as independently as they choose. Staff will be available to provide assistance and services on a 24 hour basis. Meals will be provided each day. “In response to the already high level of interest from future residents, we are going to begin a pre-construction waiting list,” said Loree Shriver, Housing Specialist for Pine Haven Christian Communities. “For more details about the Oostburg facility and to be added to the waiting list, those interested can call me at 467-2400.” Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls opened in 1950 and expanded in 1992 to the current size of 71 residents in the skilled nursing wing and 140 licensed rooms in the residential center wing. The newest development, Prairie Crossing, offers assisted living apartments in a welcoming senior community. While Pine Haven Christian Communities are supported by eighteen local churches, residents of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome.
