Jan Scholke Named Director of New Prairie Crossing Sheboygan Falls, WI -- Jan Scholke has joined Prairie Crossing as the director. Bringing an extensive nursing background to her new role, Scholke will oversee the operations of this new Pine Haven development.
Most recently Scholke worked in Occupational Health Services, where she focused on Corporate Wellness and Community Education for St. Nicholas Hospital. In that position she worked with both the community and local industries throughout the area. Scholke, a registered nurse, earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Marian College in Fond du Lac, WI, and an associate of applied science in nursing at Lake Superior State College in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. As director of Prairie Crossing, Scholke’s early efforts will focus on overseeing the final construction, contacting potential new residents, and providing tours and additional information. When the facility is opened, her ongoing work will focus on the day-to-day operations of maintaining a high quality living environment and on resident interaction. Prairie Crossing, a 40-unit assisted living apartment complex in a senior community, is targeted to open this June. Four apartment sizes ranging from 542 to 960 square feet will be available and each include a full kitchen. Throughout
her 30 plus year nursing career, Scholke has held a variety of management
positions. One of her focuses has been in the area of pain management. She
continues to be active in a number of organizations that focus on pain as an
issue. Scholke is a published author in “Approaches to Pain Management, An
Essential Guide for Clinical Leaders,” a Joint Commission publication.
