Pine Haven Christian Communities invites everyone to attend their community rummage sale on Saturday, August 17th – which is being held to raise funds on behalf of Pine Haven’s Walk To End Alzheimer’s team.
Every year, Pine Haven staff create a team to participate in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s. Fundraisers occur on campus each month that are designed to allow staff to donate in small ways that add up to a larger total goal. The rummage sale was conceived as a way to allow staff to participate in a real and meaningful way without necessarily having to contribute financially. All funds received will be added to the Pine Haven Christian Communities Walk To End Alzheimer’s team’s final donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
The event is open to the public, and will take place starting at 10am in the Community Center at Pine Haven’s Haven Drive campus. Those attending can rummage through the items donated to find any items they’d like to purchase. There will be no prices on any items – everyone is encouraged to use their conscience to make the appropriate donation for each item they purchase at the sale. The sale will end at 2pm – and any remaining items will be donated to local charities.
If you would like to donate items for the sale, you can drop them off at Giddings Avenue campus on weekdays between 8am and 4pm until August 14th. Items will be accepted at the Haven Drive campus on weekdays between 8am and 4pm on August 15th or 16th. If you have any questions about the event, you can contact Pine Haven’s Community Outreach Director, Karin Oliver-Kreft on the phone at 920-550-5227 or via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
